January 2016 to present – Educational Technology Specialist. Currently working with the college administration to implement a new experiential curriculum. Working with faculty to convert course sites to a new LMS (Canvas). Responsible for the implementation and support of a variety of educational technology solutions, including lecture capture systems, computer based exam software, ePortfolo software, and other projects. June 2001 to January 2016 – Director of Information Systems. I was the Director of Information Systems for the college and teaching hospital. My responsibilities included management of two units within the college, including the Information Technology Support Center, and the Application Development/Systems Administration Group with a combined staff of 9 full-time employees and 1 part-time wage employee. September 1999 to May 2001 – Director of Electronic Student Services, Division of Student Affairs. I was the Director of the information technology department for the division. I was initially responsible for establishing the department, hiring staff (two full-time analysts and 10 student employees), developing a budget, and creating department goals. January 1996 to August 1999 – Manager of Network and Technical Services Department, University Management Systems. I managed a department of eighteen Network Analysts and System Administrators. I was responsible for the coordination/management of staff activities during the design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and network components. July 1990 to January 1996 – Senior Network Analyst, University Management Systems. Implemented and maintained a wide variety of University wide and departmental systems. More information is available here.
October 1986 to July 1990 – Staff Systems Analyst. I was responsible for all phases of design, implementation, and operation of computer systems for an automated warehouse. More information available here.
June 1984 to October 1986 – Associate Programmer Analyst. Worked as System Manager for a group of VAX VMS systems. Included operating system upgrades, installation of hardware and software, maintenance of user accounts, and operational support. Also developed applications for a material distribution system.
June 1983 to June 1984 – Distribution Clerk. Worked part-time while attending school. Distributed reports created by a mainframe MRP system, and provided operational support for an automated warehouse.
